The surgery was a success!Β  The surgery lasted about 5 hours with reconstruction surgery being the last portion.Β  The anesthesia took awhile to wear off.Β Β  In the meantime as my anesthesia wore off, I would bound and determined to see my friend TM who was at MDA receiving chemotherapy.Β  My mom and husband came to my bedside, but all I kept saying was, “I want to see TM!Β  Where is TM?”Β  TM did eventually come in the room after her chemo treatment to visit me and I know that we had a great conversation. πŸ˜‰

Because I was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia, my husband wrote an email to update everyone on how things went…

Dear Friends & Family,

We have spoken withΒ theΒ doctors, and everything went well with surgery and initial reconstruction. JW is currently in recovery, and we will go back to see her in a couple of hours onceΒ theΒ anesthesia starts to wear off.Β TheΒ plan is for her to stay overnight, which is standard procedure andΒ then we hope to head home tomorrow at some point. Thanks forΒ theΒ continued thoughts and prayers; they are felt and appreciated.

Anchored in HOPE,

TW
