Dear Friends and Family,
I have been pretty busy the past few weeks traveling and going to chemotherapy treatments. Overall, I have been feeling fine, but my main symptom from chemotherapy is FATIGUE. This letter is told through pictures…
June 14th: My sister-in-law and me at my oncologist appointment. We celebrated Flag Day and Boy George’s Birthday!
June 16th – 18th: Tom and I went to Iowa to celebrate Grandma Mary’s life. She was an amazing lady and she will be missed dearly.
I met some of my mother-in-law’s friends that read my blog. It was really nice to meet them and I appreciate their support. They made me feel like a local celebrity.
June 19th: My parents, the dogs and I celebrated my 6th chemotherapy treatment by eating Oreos on National Oreo Day. Macy is too tired to have her picture taken, ha ha! I am halfway done with Taxol!
June 21st – 25th: My mom and I went to Pittsburgh to celebrate my cousin’s bridal shower. Her bridal shower was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to being a bridesmaid in her wedding.
My birthday was on Thursday, June 22nd. My birthday felt different this year, not because I was another year older, but because I was grateful to be having another birthday. In the past, I thought to myself, “another year older…”. My friend and breast cancer survivor says that “birthdays are not a guarantee, they are a privilege”, which makes so much sense to me since my breast cancer diagnosis. My family, friends, and husband showered me with birthday love through gifts, phone calls, cards, text messages, and Facebook messages. I want to thank everyone for being so thoughtful and making me feel so special! My birthday was very low-key. I enjoyed a nice walk on the hills of Pittsburgh in the morning and dinner with my family.
June 28th: I received my 7th chemotherapy treatment on National Chocolate Day
July 7th: I had my 8th chemotherapy treatment of Taxol today and am halfway done with all of my chemotherapy treatments! I will start a different chemotherapy medicine in a few weeks. My husband and I celebrated National Macaroni Day by eating macaroni and cheese! It was yummy!

I love all the pictures. They surely tell a story. I laugh every time I see our “cornfield selfie”, more specifically Debbie’s hair without her entire face!

I had a really fun time “writing this post” and looking at all of the pictures from the past few weeks! I know, that is the only “cornfield selfie” I had, LOL!
