Dear Family and Friends,
I have been “running around” 🏃🏻♀️ Texas like crazy and feel like I am a famous person on a Texas tour – ha, ha! I wanted to give a quick update and let everyone know that my appointment a MD Anderson went well! That is a big relief and I am glad that appointment was one of the first of many “other” appointments I had like, dentist, hair, etc. I have also been fortunate to visit with family, friends, and Maverick! I would love to write more, but I have to go…

Dear Friends and Family,
I felt that this post belonged in “The Anchor” category instead of “Adventures in Amsterdam” since it is breast cancer related, don’t get me wrong having breast cancer WAS and STILL IS an “adventure”. Cancer is not an “adventure” that anyone wants to go on or be a part of. Cancer does not discriminate and affects not only the person that is diagnosed with cancer, but caregivers also. Cancer is an AWFUL DISEASE and so many die from this horrible disease, the young and old, and there is STILL NO CURE!

T and I decided to take a quick trip to Haarlem and Zandvoort since he was going to be out of town on business for 13 days. T, The Littles, and I took a 20 minute train ride to Haarlem. T said that the city of Haarlem in New York is named after Haarlem in The Netherlands. While we waited to receive the key for our Airbnb we enjoyed a beer at the Coach House Inn which was across the street from our Airbnb.

DAY ONE: My dad visited T and I for a few days. He was working in Budapest, so the plane ride to Amsterdam was only a few hours. I was excited to see my dad considering that I have not seen him since June. The Littles remembered him immediately and were all over him. Tom and I took a short train ride to The Hague, Netherlands for a day trip. We explored Chinatown, which was a few blocks. An American Bar was also located in Chinatown – ha, ha!
