As a women diagnosed with breast cancer, you will most likely have surgery to remove the cancer. Every women is in a different situation and you and your doctor will make the decision that is best for you.
Regardless of the type of surgery that you choose, I suggest that you purchase scrubs with pockets to wear while you are recovering. I lived in my scrubs for weeks after my surgery and the pockets held the drains nicely. I ordered two different pairs of Butter-Soft scrubs. Make sure that you order scrubs that button in the front, it makes it easier to take the scrubs on and off because you will not be able to lift your arms over your head after surgery
The scrubs below are what I ordered and I had a problem with the buttons falling off, so my mom reinforced the buttons with extra thread and they didn’t fall off after that. I also contacted the company and they said that they would fix the “button problem”. I visited the site recently and noticed that they now have scrubs with snaps, which makes so much more sense. I have a friend that will be having surgery and I purchased the scrubs with snaps for her.
I also wore warm fuzzy socks daily. I purchased my socks on Amazon.
Skola Women’s 6pairs pack Patterned Super Soft Cozy Fuzzy Winter Warm Crew Slipper Home Socks (Heart design assorted)
I wore a Scrunchie to pull my hair back, you may or may not need these depending on the length of your hair. My friend and breast cancer survivor recommend that I teach my husband how to put my hair in a ponytail, which I did. 😉 It was difficult for me to raise my arms to pull my hair back.
You will get the rest 😴 that you need when you are dressed comfortably!
